Playing with WOŚP – With Heart and Sustainability

Every year, we proudly join forces with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) – one of Poland’s largest and most beloved non-profit initiatives. Founded in 1993, WOŚP raises funds to support public healthcare by purchasing modern medical equipment for hospitals, especially for children and seniors. The grand finale takes place every January and brings together millions of people through concerts, events, and charity auctions.

This year, we were thrilled to take part in one of WOŚP’s charity auctions, where we successfully bid on a unique HempBean coffee table, crafted from an innovative and eco-friendly material – hemp lumber.

HempBean is more than just a stylish piece of furniture – it reflects our core values. Hemp, as a renewable and low-emission resource, aligns perfectly with the principles of sustainable development that we strive to follow every day.

We sincerely thank Mr. Piotr Pietras from Green Lanes for personally delivering the table to us – it was a true pleasure to meet you!

We are proud to combine environmental responsibility with meaningful support for those in need.
Thank you, WOŚP, for yet another year filled with incredible energy and inspiration!

50 Years of Professional Work! Celebrating the Anniversary of Janusz Nowakowski

With great pride and gratitude, we celebrate the remarkable 50th anniversary of Janusz Nowakowski’s professional career – a Polish and European patent attorney, co-founder of our Patpol law firm, and one of the key experts in the field of intellectual property protection in Poland and Europe.

Half a Century in the Service of Innovation

On March 5, we had the honor of celebrating the outstanding professional achievements of Mr. Nowakowski, who has been tirelessly supporting inventors, entrepreneurs, and innovators since 1975. His vast knowledge and invaluable experience have helped countless clients effectively protect their technologies and solutions, particularly in industries such as machinery construction, transportation, construction, mining, automotive, optics, and physics.

Over the years, Mr. Janusz has held key positions in our firm, serving twice as the President of the Management Board of Patpol. As a mentor and authority in the field of industrial property, he has played a crucial role in shaping new generations of patent attorneys, sharing his expertise and helping develop intellectual property protection standards in Poland.

A Strong Foundation of Knowledge and Experience

Before joining Patpol, Mr. Nowakowski gained experience at the Institute of Aviation and the Polish Patent Office, where he worked on key issues related to invention protection. His educational background includes an engineering degree from the Warsaw University of Technology and postgraduate studies in intellectual property at the Jagiellonian University, which laid a solid foundation for his professional path.

More Than a Patent Attorney – Passion and Inspiration

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Janusz is a man of diverse interests. His passion for aviation and automotive technology, as well as his love for football, have accompanied him for years, providing inspiration both at work and beyond. His dedication and professionalism serve as a role model, and his warm personality makes him not only an outstanding expert but also a valued colleague and mentor.

Gratitude and Best Wishes

On this special occasion, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for the years of dedication, commitment, and passion that Mr. Nowakowski has contributed to the development of Patpol and the entire intellectual property industry. We wish him continued success, professional satisfaction, and many more years filled with inspiration and the fulfillment of both professional and personal passions!

Our Autumn Patpol Breakfast is in the books!

On November 27th, we hosted another inspiring Patpol Breakfast, bringing together entrepreneurs and IP experts at InFormal Kitchen in Warsaw and online.

What did we discuss?

  • AI and Intellectual Property: Katarzyna Jedynak-Gierada, our patent attorney and legal counsel, delved into the complex world of AI-generated content and IP rights. Her insights opened up new perspectives on the future of IP protection in this rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  • Patent Infringement: Practical Tips: Jakub Słupski, our senior associate and attorney, provided valuable guidance on how to navigate the complexities of patent infringement cases. His practical advice offered a real-world perspective on protecting your intangible assets.

We had a lively discussion, with plenty of questions and engaging conversations. This reinforced our belief in the importance of intellectual property protection for business growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, both in person and online. Your participation and enthusiasm made this event a great success.

Stay tuned for our next Patpol Breakfast! We’ll be sharing more details on our social media channels.
