Conducting R&D works on the creation of a translation model for high-quality and specialist approved translation of patent texts from English and other foreign languages into Polish, based on neural networks.<\/a><\/p>\n

Patpol Patent & Trademark Attorneys Ltd. has received a grant from the European Union for the implementation of a project titled \u201cConducting R&D work on the creation of a translation model for high-quality and specialist-approved translation of patent texts from English and other foreign languages into Polish, based on neural networks\u201d. The project is dedicated to a medium-sized company from the service sector located in Warsaw (Mazovia Voivodeship).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The aim of the project<\/strong> is to conduct industrial research and development work leading to the creation of a modern translation model based on neural networks, which will meet high quality standards and the expectations of specialists involved in the translation of patent texts.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The project is composed of three tasks:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Research and development work on creating an algorithm for building a database of lexical units that meets the criteria of full working coverage of a text file with a specific size and no conflicts between the units, while simultaneously meeting the criteria of possibly optimal coverage of a second file of documents (test file).<\/li>\n
  2. Developing a set of translation units and then training a neural network.<\/li>\n
  3. Making an application for translating patent texts based on a production neural network trained on a large file of translation units.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For the purposes of the above tasks, a database of patent and technical terminology will be acquired and the server infrastructure necessary to conduct R&D work and ensure high efficiency (algorithm training) will be purchased, along with eight computer sets for R&D staff.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The results of the R&D work conducted as part of the project will be implemented in the Beneficiary’s business activities in the form of process innovation. For the purposes of implementation of the project, new jobs will also be created.<\/p>\n
